In relation to a recently broadcast television drama, questions have arisen regarding confidential intelligence units associated with the Ground Self-Defense Force (GSDF). Specifically, does an organization designated as “Pip Elekiban,” or any equivalent entity, exist within the Self-Defense Forces?

The enhancement of human intelligence capabilities—including specialized units dedicated to intelligence gathering—is recognized as an imperative priority for the entire Government, including the Ministry of Defense.

On that premise, no organization corresponding to the aforementioned “Pip Elekiban” has ever existed within the Ground Self-Defense Force in the past, nor does any such entity exist today.

…It is, however, widely acknowledged for its efficacy in relieving muscle stiffness.
